1. How do I import connection keys?
▼
Tap the “+” icon in the top-right corner of the app window to open the import dialog. There’s a
field where you can paste a key link like vless://... (it helps to copy it to your clipboard first).
You can also import via a QR code image: save the QR image to your photo library, then in the
add-configuration dialog tap QR and select the QR image from your library. In both cases, the
connection will be added to the Locations list and will be ready to use.
2. How do I connect/disconnect to a location?
▼
Select the location you want in the Locations list. It will be marked with a green check-circle. Tap
Connect to establish the tunnel. The active location will be highlighted with a pulsing outline. At
the bottom (under the Connect button), the app will display your server IP, current network
responsiveness (round-trip time, RTT), a connection timer, and incoming/outgoing traffic indicators.
Below that, the activity log will show a connection report or remote-server errors if the server
isn’t responding. If the connection is unstable, RTT will show “Bad”. You can switch between
imported locations on the fly by selecting another location - the tunnel will be rebuilt
automatically. To disconnect, tap the same button you used to connect. When a connection is active,
the button shows Disconnect.
3. How can I measure the availability/latency of imported connections?
▼
In the top-left corner of the app window, there is a Latency button. Tap it to measure the ping of
all imported connections and display the result next to each connection. Latency is measured using
the CONNECT method, which is more accurate and objective than TCP. During measurement, any active
connection will be temporarily disconnected - and automatically reconnected once the test finishes.
4. How do I delete a connection?
▼
Each imported connection has a red trash icon on the right. Tap it to open a confirmation dialog
where you can confirm or cancel removing the location from your list.
5. How do I change the app’s color theme?
▼
At the top of the app window, tap the Settings icon (gear). This opens a theme toggle (Dark/Light).
Choose the theme you want - it applies immediately. Close the dialog by tapping OK or tapping
outside the dialog area.
6. How do I get more help?

7. Additional information
▼
ShadowSpot does not provide connection keys and is not a network provider. ShadowSpot does not
support any protocols other than VLESS, because we consider VLESS + Reality the gold standard for
encrypted connectivity. ShadowSpot has no extra connection settings by design. The app is built so
that the “source of truth” always remains on the remote server. All connection details - port, DNS
resolving, SNI, uTLS, fingerprints, encryption, and encryption methods - are controlled by the
provider who issued your keys. For that reason, pay close attention to your provider’s reputation
and make sure they encrypt your connection using modern standards.
